There are NO exceptions to these rules so don't try to make one! This applys to everyone!

Sections 1.0 ----------------

1.1: Main Rules (everywhere)

1. Keep profanity to a minimum, act your age not your IQ. We are here for enjoyment and learning, help everyone feel welcome and remember some people are young and don't need your negative words.
2. Listen to the staff, if they ask you to do something, DO IT.
3. No spamming, this includes but is not limited to, short posts such as "lol" or "hi" or "mmm", don't just post to meet the 10 character limit or it will be deleted.
4. No flaming other users, will result in 2 hour ban x ammount flamed (ex: I flamed once before, this is my second time, 4 hour ban. There is a difference between flaming/trolling and arguing/debating).
5. No pornographic material outside of the porn sections, remember there are youngins.
6. Do not disrespect any staff members or other users.
7. Download links must require no registration to download unless you have uploaded as an attachment, then any registered user may download it.
8. No using fake/referral links when posting or otherwise. System admin may use referal links as long as they are for the site.
9. Refrain from double posting, USE THE EDIT BUTTON!
10. Absolutely no double accounts or shared accounts, 1 account per user.
11. Absolutely no TROLLING whatsoever. As stated above, we are here for our enjoyment and to not be trolled upon. Opinions are allowed but make it very nice opinions

Advertising of any sort will NOT be tolerated unless you are an affiliate. Any advertisers will recieve a ban WITH OUT warning.

PhairChilds Message on Advertising:
I dont care how old you are, why you posted it, what your intentions were, a link is a link people you all know what is aloud and what isnt aloud (Allowed Examples: Megaupload, Sharefile ect.) I take advertising very seriously because everyone trys to do it and then trys to give an excuse, IF YOU POST A LINK TO ANOTHER SITE IT WILL BE A BAN! (unless affiliated or tutorials/downloads and then it's not advertising).

1.2: Kaboom's Custom programs rules
When you make a program for the members of GeeksNetwork, regardless of the language it's coded in, you MUST include the source code so we know you aren't trying to mess their computers up. All malicious code will be deleted and/or the post deleted if we find you trying to mess people's computers up. We are a community, act like it, even in your coding! Try to explain as much as you can what the code means so users can learn from your source too. We are ANTI-BOTNET so no botnets or keyloggers or you get an IP ban, UNLESS stated in the title that the program is a bot-net/keylogger that is meant to help them and not send you files, only then will this rule be overlooked. The following rules apply to these types:

QBASIC: must include comments telling author in the code somewhere aswell as try to explain what each section is.
C#/C/VB/VB.NET: Include ALL code and try to explain what they do.
Java: All code must be posted, try to explain

1.3: The Shoutbox:
1). No flaming in the shoutbox ..
2). Do not over use the smiley's, they are there only for expression don't abuse them.
3). No spamming, you will recieve an automatic silence and or ban (Includes things like "mmm" and an intro).
4). Advertisment will result in a prune of all your shouts on the first offence, furth advertisment will be a 5 day ban from the shoutbox. After that you will recieve a full site ban with no appeal.
5). No images in the shoutbox OR movies. Link them if you want people to see them.
6). NO PORN ALLOWED!
7) Act mature.

All rules are subject to change so check back here and there.

Rules have been updates and reworked.
Added a shoutbox section specific to shoutbox rules.

We may need shoutbox moderators soon as well.
